Terms & Conditions
Young Stylist of the Year Competition:
• Open to all UK residents aged 16+ (with the exception of any employees, their immediate families or friends, connected with this promotion) with no previous media industry experience, i.e. having done no previous professional magazine/tv/catwalk/press/celeb styling
• Entry to the competition is free
• One application per fashion stylist
• By completing the application, applicants agree to be bound by the rules and by any other requirements set out in the promotional material & confirm that all of their work is original and not copied or reproduced elsewhere
• Entries must be received on or before 19th September 2008. Clothes Show Live reserves the right to revise this date and extend the period for accepting entries to the competition.
• All entries to the competition will be judged on the criteria as outlined in section B (Judges and Judging Criteria)
• Entries cannot be returned and are the property of the promoter & Maybelline New York. Copyright and all other rights and interests in each entry will be and are hereby assigned to the promoter & Maybelline New York. The entries may be used for post-event publicity (including local newspapers) or for internal purposes. Entrants waive any moral rights under the Copyright, Designs and Patents Act 1988.
• The prizes are as stated and there are no alternatives or cash substitutes.
• Entries will only be accepted on the official form. Copies will not be accepted.
• Incomplete, illegal, illegible, misdirected or late entries will not be accepted. Proof of posting will not be accepted as proof of delivery. Responsibility cannot be accepted for lost, damaged or delayed entries.
• The judges’ decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into.
• A list of the winners can be obtained by sending a stamped, self-addressed envelope to the Promoter within two weeks of the closing date.
• The winner(s) must be prepared to take part in publicity accompanying or resulting from the promotion. No additional compensation will be awarded for such promotional activities.
• If the prize is declined or if the winner forfeits the prize under these terms or conditions, then the judges may at their absolute discretion select an alternative winner.
• The promoter reserves the right in its absolute discretion to add or change or waive any of these terms and conditions, or to cancel the competition at any stage, in the event of circumstance arising beyond its reasonable control.
• By entering this competition, entrants will be deemed to be bound by and have accepted these terms and conditions.
• English law applies and the English courts shall have exclusive jurisdiction over any proceedings in connection with this promotion.
• The 3 finalists will be notified by 3rd October 2008 by telephone and invited to the Glamour photo shoot for one day between 9th – 19th October
• All 3 finalists need to available to attend Clothes Show Live on Monday 8th December 2008
• The winner will be expected to participate in publicity (as above)
• Judges will be appointed by Idea Generation, Clothes Show Live, ZenithOptimedia, Maybelline New York and Glamour Magazine
• Accommodation and transport for the finalists will not be covered, these are all to be arranged and paid for by the award finalists
